How To Use Tru Square

Square or Center?

Some manufactures suggest to square your rear end while others suggest to set the distance from the motor plate on the right side then center the rear end in the chassis. Either way Tru-Square will work for you.

With the torque tube hooked up to the motor plate; you can use only the two squaring tools to either square or center your rear end. Either way (square or center); first set the distance from the motor plate to the axle on the right side. Now move over to the left side and adjust the left tool. Since the torque tube is hooked up and the right side is held in place with the right Tru-Square tool; the rear end will move from side to side as you adjust the left tool. If you want to square the rear end, adjust the tool until the axle on the left side is the same distance from the motor plate as the right side. If you want to center the rear end. adjust the length of the left tool until the rear end is in the proper side to side position.

When the torque tube is hooked up to the motor plate do not use the optional centering tool with the two squaring tools.
